Africa 2002

In 2002, we got the chance to take a 3-month trip to Africa. At the time, my [Scott's] sister was a missionary in a small town in central Ghana called Duayaw-Nkwanta. My parents were going to visit my sister, and they offered to pay for our airfare and vaccinations (almost as expensive as the airfare). The whole family travelled around Ghana for a few weeks, and then flew down to South Africa. We all spent a month travelling and sightseeing there, and then Ieva and I stayed an extra couple weeks to do some climbing.
